Resonya

Tune into the now.

Resonya shows you the music playing around you — right here, right now. No profiles, no followers, no feed. Just the sound of the people nearby.

Works with Spotify and Apple Music

The idea

"The now" is the only feed that's real.

Every feed you own is a museum — highlights, throwbacks, other people's yesterdays. The now is the one place no platform ever took you: this street, this hour, the song in the ears of the stranger beside you. Tuning into the now means turning your attention from what happened somewhere else to what's playing right here — and discovering that the present has a soundtrack.

Why Resonya exists

Two things broke, and everyone quietly knows it.

Discovery lost its place.

Algorithms serve everyone the same charts, everywhere, placelessly. Yet the best recommendation engine ever built is still the taste of the people physically around you — and it's completely inaudible. Headphones made every city a thousand private concerts with no windows between them.

Connection started costing identity.

Meeting anyone online now means surrendering yourself first: a real name, photos, a follower count, a history that never expires. The price of presence became a permanent record.

Resonya answers both with one idea: presence instead of profiles. Share what you're playing in the place you're actually in, to the people who are actually there — and remain exactly as anonymous as a stranger in the same room.

Presence

A city is full of music you can't hear. Until now.

Someone on your tram is lost in a song. Someone in the café is playing the album you love. Resonya makes that invisible layer audible: broadcast what you're listening to, and discover who's tuned in around you — as nearby presences, not profiles.

Moments

Where the now happens

Commuters in a tram at night, lit in violet and blue, one absorbed in his music
The commute

The 8:04 is silent. Half of it is listening.

Two seats away, someone is deep in the artist you've had on repeat all week. You'd never know — until Resonya shows a presence nearby, live, playing your kind of morning. Some days you just smile at it. Some days you send a wave.

New in town

You know nobody. The music knows you.

New city, familiar loneliness. But the café's quiet is deceptive: three people nearby are tuned into sounds you love. A wave costs nothing and reveals nothing — easier than a hello, safer than a profile, and sometimes the start of a real one.

Watch the lawn light up with sound.

Every blanket is its own little concert. Open Resonya and the park becomes a map of moods — who's broadcasting, what the air would sound like if headphones didn't exist. Find your people by sound, not by profile.

Social media, with privacy by design.

Most social apps are built to know you. Resonya is built to let you be present without being known. Privacy isn't a settings page here — it's the architecture.

Ephemeral by design

Nothing lasts here. That's the point.

On Resonya you don't build a profile — you open a session. It begins when you show up, lives while you're present, and dissolves when you leave. No archive of who you were last Tuesday, no follower count keeping score, no past to curate.

We built it this way on purpose, because permanence changes people: when everything is recorded, everyone performs. When nothing is kept, you can simply be there. And when a moment can't be saved, scrolled back, or bookmarked for later, it does something feeds forgot how to do — it pushes you toward the person, not the screen. Spot someone whose sound matches yours, and the only way to keep that moment is the oldest way there is: wave, say hi, meet. The app won't remember it for you. That's not a limitation. That's the invitation.

The privacy promise

What "by design" actually means

Anonymous by default

No account, no real name, no phone number. You are a nickname and a vibe — an identity you can reset at any moment.

Off means off

One switch controls your visibility. Turn it off and your presence stops transmitting and is removed from the network — not hidden, gone.

Presence that fades

Nearby presence is a moment, not a record. It expires on its own — Resonya is about who is here now, not who was ever here.

Only what's needed

Your location is used to find what's playing near you — and shared only while you choose to be discoverable.

Encrypted messages

When you wave at a nearby listener and chat, the messages travel encrypted.

Hosted in the EU

Resonya's servers run in the European Union, under European data-protection law.

How it works

Three steps to the now

Pick a vibe

Choose a nickname and the moods you're into. That's the whole sign-up — there is nothing else to fill in.

Press play

Listen on Spotify or Apple Music as usual, and broadcast your track when you feel like sharing it.

Discover who's tuned in

See the music around you, send a wave, start a conversation — or just listen to the city listening.
